stripping & baking
hola! 2 days ago I got back from my 2-week stay at camp hilltop. I was really sad that I had to leave, but also excited to be coming home so i could c everybody, and also cause my wallpaper is a-coming-down!!! I've hated the flower-print paper for years and years, and my wish of removing it finallllllllly came true! So yesterday around 12ish Alex came over and we began STRIPPING off as much of the wallpaper in my room as possible. It's now 90% off, except for like behind my bed and dresser. Now the problem w/ the wallpaper is that it had this papery gluey stuff behind it. This gluey tan stuff is stuck to the wall, so even though the wallpaper is off, we have to scrape all the other stuff off! But thankfully the paint underneath it is a decent gray-purple so I'm not stuck looking at a god awful color!
Me & Alex decided to bake some "chocolate" cookies today, and the end result was just a tad different. See, we had no choocalate chips, so instead we used the two kinds of chips that we found in my cabinet; white & butterscotch. My oh MYYYYYYYY were they good! Oh yeah, and the recipe on the back of the white chocolate chips called for cocoa, and we didn't know why, b/c hey, if the recipe calls for something, you just do it [unless of course you're an experience baker]. The cookies turned out chocolate! So lemme describe them to you... the whole thing is a dark brown, with white- and light-orangy- colored chips scattered throughout. But the most AMAZING thing about them, was that they were some of the best cookies I've ever eaten! My mom was surprised at our skills, Alex!
So finally I'll just say that the dogs I have to take out across the street, Bagel and Ashley, are the CUTEST things I have ever seen!!! I *think* they are poodles, but I'm not 100% positive, cause they aren't like those show poodles that are bald. My neighbor is on vaca and her husband works during the day, so from Monday til Thursday I have to take them out in the backyard until they pee, and then take them back in. So it only takes 10 minutes max, and that's including all the time I take playing with them and using my "oh so cute" voice. It's rly high pitched and ahhhhhh I want those doggiessssssss!!!!!!!!!!!
